Cercarbono is a voluntary carbon certification standard for Climate Change Mitigation Programmes and Projects (CCMPs). It supports the registration of eligible mitigation projects, certification of greenhouse gas emission reductions and removals, and registration of carbon credits generated by those activities.
For project owners and developers, Cercarbono can be a practical route for developing carbon projects where the project activity, methodology, baseline, additionality, monitoring approach and documentation meet the programme requirements. The strength of the project design at the feasibility stage directly affects validation, verification and credit issuance risk.
Kanaka Management Services / KMS Group supports project owners, developers and organizations with Cercarbono carbon project development from early stage feasibility review to documentation, validation and issuance support. Our work includes project eligibility assessment, methodology review, baseline and additionality assessment, monitoring plan support, stakeholder documentation, validation and verification coordination, credit issuance support and carbon credit monetization strategy.
We work across carbon market standards and mechanisms including CDM, Verra VCS, Gold Standard, Article 6.4, REDD+, AFOLU, ICR, GCC, Plan Vivo, BCR and Cercarbono.
